Script Writing (Group) |
Students will be given a picture or situation and asked to come up with a script for a play. It should be for a ten to twelve minute performance.
They will write as a group. This group will consist of three students. Best scripts will be notified via sms/email by evening and asked to perform the play the following day.

Team Quiz (Group) |
Subjects include literature, grammar, proverbs, authors, etc. It will be open to all sections of students. |
Anagram (Individual) |
Participants will solve different anagrams within a given time.

Grammar (Individual) |
This segment will include questions from grammatical topics such as articles, prepositions, transformations, parts of speech, tense, voice, right forms of verbs, subject-verb agreement, modifiers, idioms and phrases, synonym-antonym, punctuation, etc. |
Wall Magazine (Group) |
Students will be asked to combine pictures and texts. This may include anecdotes, short poems, sayings, proverbs, and quotations, among others.
The topics/ themes will be published on the Language League website www.languageleague.info on the 13th of October, 2019 so that the students get time to prepare their wall magazines and bring them to North South University on the event day. Students will give a presentation of 3 minutes on their Wall Magazines in front of the adjudicators and might be asked questions on their magazines.

Plus Minus (Individual) |
This is an impromptu speech where the speaker will have to talk in favor of a subject as well as against it.

Extempore Speech (Individual) |
Participants will be given a topic on the spot 3 minutes preparation time. Then they’ll deliver the speech in the next 3 minutes.

Poem Writing and Recitation (Individual) |
'Tanka' and 'Pantoum' poems. Students will be given one or two themes, and then they will write their own poems following the patterns of Tanka and Pantoum.

Pop Culture Quiz (Group) |
Quiz questions will be based on contemporary culture, including music, movies, fashion, games, television shows, and more.

Making a Story with 3 to 5 Words (Individual) |
Students will be given a prompt and asked to contribute the next three to five words to the story.
For example: “There’s blood on my stapler…” They will have to add to the sentence/line.
